The "Criminal" singer was spotted in New Orleans Monday, just five days after being busted for hashish possession in Texas. With her hair pulled back and lips pursed, Apple did not look amused as she made her way past the paps.
Apple, 35, hasn't held back when it comes to complaining (quite publicly, onstage!) about her arrest in Sierra Blanca. In a video captured from a concert over the weekend, she ranted that four of Hudspeth County's officers committed acts that were "probably illegal."
She vowed that she would "hold that secret forever" of their alleged actions, adding, "unless you're interested in being a celebrity, I'll make you f--king famous any time you ask."
Hudspeth County Sheriff's Dept. Spokesman Rusty Fleming first wrote a response asking Apple to file an official complaint if she really suspected wrongdoing. But his second response? He told her to, "Just shut up and sing."
"Two weeks ago nobody in the country cared about what you had to say," Fleming added. "Now that you've been arrested it appears your entire career has been jump-started. Don't worry Sweetie, I won't bill you."
Solange Knowles, a Texas native, tweeted empathetically: "Only in Texas would a Sheriff write an open letter to an artist & send it to press starting w the words, 'First, Honey.' On behalf of my state, #SorryFiona…Just goes to show so clearly these cops luv ego-tripp'n."
Fleming told E! News, however, he was "not trying to get into any pissing contests with anyone."
We wouldn't recommend it. Hollywood and Sierra Blanca have had some run-ins. Willie Nelson, Snoop Dogg, Armie Hammer and Paul Wall have all been arrested on marijuana charges in the West Texas town.
