New Couple Alert: Simon Cowell and Carmen Electra's Hollywood Dinner Date

Has Simon Cowell found his latest lady love in Carmen Electra?

The 52-year-old X Factor judge and 40-year-old actress sparked dating rumors after they stepped out together over the weekend for a dinner date at West Hollywood restaurant Cecconi's.

While some are saying Cowell and Electra are getting romantic—and were even caught making out!—we're hearing a different story.

"A big group of friends had dinner on Saturday night at Cecconi's," a source tells E! News of the supposed date. "They are just friends from the U.K. and the U.S. They have known each other a while and she guest judged on Britain's Got Talent."

The duo did work together back in February when Electra appeared on the British competition show, and it seems like they've stayed close since.

In pics of the pair leaving Cecconi's on Saturday night, Cowell is seen with his arm around Electra as they pose for photogs before getting into a black Rolls-Royce and leaving together.

Both Cowell and Electra were previously engaged, Cowell to makeup artist Mezhgan Hussainy and Electra to rocker Rob Petterson. Additionally, the actress was previously married to Dave Navarro and Dennis Rodman. 

A rep for Cecconi's and Electra's rep declined to comment.
