Never has the morale-boosting message to keep calm and carry on been quite so flush with meaning.

But that's exactly what Kate Middleton did today, when she and Prince William continued on with the business of their Diamond Jubilee tour through the South Pacific, despite the emergence in a French tabloid of some slimily obtained topless photos of the duchess.

And while out in the notoriously morals- and modesty-enforcing Malaysia today, the royals couldn't have been more covered up, as they made their first-ever visit to a mosque.

Kate kept it perfectly ladylike and conservative for the occasion, donning a pale grey Beulah London dress and a draped head scarf to cover her hair. She also had her trusty nude L.K. Bennett heels and wore nylons, in accordance with religious protocol.

Will wore a standard navy suit for the occasion, and both fell in line to remove their shoes before entering Kuala Lumpur's Assyakirin Mosque, the biggest in the nation.

Prior to entering the religious center, the royal couple greeted waiting well-wishers, one of whom presented the duchess with a bouquet of flowers. From there, they were given a private tour, getting taken to the main prayer area and discussing the building's storied art and architecture, before continuing to make their way around the grounds and watching men ritually wash their hands and feet.

Later this afternoon, the couple are due to attend a tea in town ahead of their final day in the country. Safe to say the world will be watching.
