America's Next Top Model's Jael Strauss Addicted to Crystal Meth, Family Stages Intervention on Dr. Phil

Former reality star gets emotional and bolts from set of Dr. Phil's show, psychologist follows her into lot in attempt to help her

Methamphetamines and modeling don't mix.

At age 22, Jael Strauss was trying to win over Tyra Banks on America's Next Top Model. Now, at 28, the former reality star is addicted to crystal meth. In an emotional Dr. Phil episode airing Thursday, Jael's family teams up with the psychologist to stage a life-saving intervention.

But Jael, whose own friend died of a heroin overdose during her stint on ANTM, is clearly resistant to getting help. In a preview clip, she's shown starting to step out on Dr. Phil's stage, then turning and bolting through the Paramount lot.

Dr. Phil follows Jael, who cries on the ground, and tells her this is "the first time in 10 years" he's followed a guest outside.

We certainly hope he can help her. We want to see Jael's beautiful smize again!
