Move over, Modern Family. There's a new kind of family in town, thanks to The New Normal.
With a topnotch creator in Ryan Murphy, he who gave us Glee and American Horror Story, and stellar cast, which includes Justin Bartha, Andrew Rannells, Georgia King and Ellen Barkin, we loved this NBC comedy so much we want the family to adopt us. Right now. (And it made our list of our top five favorite new shows.)
It's courted its fair share of controversy even before it debuted, so now we want to hear from you: Is this a family you want to join or not?
Bryan (Rannells) and David (Bartha) are young, handsome, totally in love and ready to have a baby. Enter: Goldie (King), a single mom/aspiring lawyer who wants to make a difference in her daughter's life. Sounds simple, right? Well, Goldie's mother Jane (Barkin) is kind of a raging homophobe who isn't exactly down with her daughter's decision.
Rounding out the feel-good comedy are scene stealers Nene Leakes, of Real Housewives fame, who who plays Ryan's assistant Rocky and Bebe Wood as Goldie's wise-beyond-her-years yet still precocious daughter Shania.
While we're sure One Million Moms didn't tune in for the premiere, we're guessing more than a few of you did, so we want to hear from you: Vote in our latest Save it or Sink It poll and then head on down to the comments to tell us why you're loving or less-than-liking The New Normal.
(E! and NBC are both part of the NBCUniversal family.)
