Some serious post-VMA date-night action went down last night as John Mayer and Katy Perry were spotted getting their party on while Demi Lovato and One Direction's Niall Horan shared an intimate dinner.
Woah, talk about a new power couple alert! But before you Directioners get all hot and bothered, we'll start with the John and Katy deets:
The hottest new twosome in T-town showed up at the Fifth Annual House of Hype Power Players Event at the Beverly Hills Hotel following the MTV Video Music Awards last night, and although they refused to walk the red carpet together (or do any sort of press at the event) they managed to sneak in a subtle amount of PDA.
John and Katy arrived at the event around 11 p.m. with a protective entourage of about 10 people in tow. The budding couple even stationed friends in between them as they entered the event so that they couldn't be photographed together. Immediately upon arrival, they were bombarded by a flurry of paps, cameras and reporters but were quickly whisked away through the crowd.
The 27-year-old pop star and her 34-year-old companion got the party started, opting out of the dinner which was honoring DJ Kaskade and entered the ballroom for the after party which had not even begun.
Inside the event, a partygoer tells E! News that "they were really cute" but "it seemed like they didn't want much attention."
No surprise there as the couple has yet to comment on their rumored romance, and they stayed out of the spotlight seemingly to avoid further speculation.
Although the couple was mindful not to engage in too much PDA, a source did spot John Mayer affectionately rubbing his ladies back (so sweet!).
The secretive couple didn't stick around long, and they disappeared into a private area inside the Beverly Hills Hotel shortly after the event began.
Not far from Mayer and Perry, Demi Lovato and Niall Horan who were seen at Harry Morton's Pink Taco Century City.
A source tells E! News that they were there together for what appeared to be a quiet and intimate date as they shared appetizers at the casual restaurant.
Hey, since Niall gave Perry a smooch at the show, maybe this famous foursome can double date!
