Kristin Chenoweth stopped by Live! With Kelly & Michael today, making her first appearance since suffering an injury on the set of The Good Wife, and based on what she revealed, the accident was a lot worse than we thought.

"Basically a big lighting thing fell and hit me. [It] knocked me out, knocked my face and slammed me down to the ground. The back of my head got hit on the curb," she said. "I had a skull fracture, rib issue and neck issue and a hip issue. I'm issue-ridden, but I'm getting better."

She added, "I wear my neck brace on and off."

Since head injuries come with lots of complications, new cohost Michael Strahan wondered if she was experiencing any mental setbacks due to the accident. "I couldn't really form a sentence really well after it happened," Chenoweth said. "I'm the queen of multitasking. I'm not so good at that right now. I'll be like, 'Mom, are you talking on the thing that you push, the phone?"

She continued: "That's been interesting, but that's getting better. I'm grateful. It could have been so much worse."

Chenoweth was set to guest star on the CBS hit drama as a reporter, but had to abandon the role after the accident. "It is with deep regret to inform everyone that due to my injuries, I am unable to return to The Good Wife," she said in a statement. "[I'm] getting better slowly, and thank you everyone for your concern." She will still appear in the season four premiere, set to air on Monday, Sept. 30.
