From 90212 to court to a new Fox show

Shannen Doherty, "Brenda Walsh" of Beverly Hills, 90210, may be in our faces regularly once again--Fox is developing a new TV show for the actress to star in. Faster Baby, Kill!, described as a combination ensemble comedy and action show, will revolve around young, hip private investigators who live and work in Los Angeles. Mad TV's Orlando Jones and Herman Head's William Ragsdale will also star.

Doherty's last television gig, 90210, ended in 1994 after the actress left the show following a series of "creative differences" with executive producer Aaron Spelling. Generally known as a sullen troublemaker, the actress said she just wanted to spend time with then-hubby Ashley Hamilton--they divorced a few months later.

Since then, Doherty has gone on to star in such winners as the Kevin Smith-directed film Mallrats and Showtime's Jailbreakers. She portrayed Gone With the Wind author Margaret Mitchell in NBC's A Burning Passion: The Margaret Mitchell Story and appeared in a Korean cosmetics commercial.

Unlike her post-90210 career, Doherty's court life is flourishing. She got things rolling back in 1992 with an L.A. nightclub scuffle, then went on to be sued in 1994 by an ex-landlord who said she trashed her rented house and stiffed him on the rent. Just recently, a woman filed a lawsuit against Doherty and her parents, alleging Doherty's dogs bit her after she came to the door of the family's Malibu home.
