Between nine years on American Idol and all of his hard work on The X Factor, is Simon Cowell losing steam? As if!

Don't believe us? In this exclusive clip, Cowell's fellow judges Britney Spears, Demi Lovato and L.A. Reid dish on working with the British perfectionist. So what did they have to say about their boss when he wasn't sitting right next to them?

"I had no idea what to expect to work with Simon," Spears admits in the clip. "I just knew he had a reputation for being a little...blunt." Understatement of the century much?! To highlight her understatement, Cowell is seen telling a contestant, "If you imagine Madonna, Bobby Brown and Dracula had a child, it would be you." Ouch!

Still, Spears has only kind things to say about Cowell. "He's adorable, and actually, I really respect that he says what he thinks and doesn't really care what everybody else thinks."

As for Lovato, whom Cowell has called "a brat," she admits she was a bit intimidated to work with him at first. "I was totally afraid of him. He's so witty, he's hilarious, but he also can be pretty harsh," she explains. "I was really, really nervous about working with him and then I got on set and it's basically been so much fun. We banter back and forth and we have fun all day."

Reid calls Cowell "the one guy that I really, really look up to in the business" and says, "I still see him very much as the laser, very much the tastemaker and the guy whose career I really admire most, maybe more than anybody else's."

Being the tastemaker that he is, Cowell has teamed up with Sony to develop a new headphone called "The X Headphone." Being the perfectionist that he is, Cowell has worked with sound engineers to make sure that the headphones live up to his high standards of quality and style.

All of the details of "The X" are being kept under wraps, but music buffs can expect to see them released within the next few months. Let the countdown begin!

The X Factor season two premieres Tuesday, Sept. 11 at 8 p.m. on Fox.
