Here's some pretty big news.

Jillian Michaels is making her way back to The Biggest Loser for the popular program's upcoming 14th season, NBC announced on Tuesday.

The fitness expert, who left the series in May 2011, will join fellow returning trainers Bob Harper and Dolvett Quince when the weight-loss show returns in early January.

What's more, in addition to the usual adult contestants, the new season will also feature young participants between the ages of 13 and 17 as part of a new mission to try and tackle the childhood obesity epidemic.

The kids, however, will not be subject to elimination.

"As a former overweight teen, I know firsthand how dramatically weight issues can affect every aspect of a child's life," said Michaels in a press release. "Having recently become a mother of two, I am more passionate than ever about helping empower children and families with the information and resources they need to live a healthier life."

In May, Michaels not only adopted a 2-year-old girl, but her partner, Heidi Rhoades, gave birth to a baby boy as well.
