Clay Aiken isn't the only Hollywood star taking to Twitter with his strong feelings about the Republican National Convention.

Outspoken celeb tweeter Samuel L. Jackson has taken to the social networking site to poke fun at the GOP event down in Tampa, which narrowly avoided any major damage from Hurricane Isaac earlier this week.

"Unfair S--t: GOP spared by Issac!" Jackson tweeted. "NOLA prolly F--ked Again! Not understanding God's plan!"

The 63-year-old Avengers star then quickly began damage control by posting a series of apologetic tweets.

"Daayum! Poked a Hornets nest, hunh?" he wrote. "Apologies to God, Tampa, da GOP& Isaac(sp)! Who played the Race card?!

"Whoooo! A lotta s--t stirred into a Bulls--t tweet! Politics & Religion get MUHFREPUBLICANS heated!"

Jackson also advised those still in the path of Isaac, "Seriously, leave the path of Danger if you're asked. Be Safe & be Smart wherever you are & whatever your Politics!"

Jackson then changed the Twitter topic to Republican presidential hopeful Mitt Romney. "If U had a direct line to Mitt, like U do to me, what would you say?" he tweeted. "Seeking knowledge not Vitriol!"

We wish him the best of luck with that.

Now we want to hear from you. What do you think of Jackson's tweets? Sound off below.
