Michael Jackson has been gone for more than three years, but his legend remains.

The late King of Pop would have turned 54 today, and, without a doubt, those who loved and appreciated him are keeping him in their hearts on his birthday.

Maintaining a strong bond hasn't always been easy for his drama-prone family, but they've had no trouble keeping the memory of Jackson alive.

From the trial that left former doctor Conrad Murray guilty of manslaughter to the issues concerning his estate and the recent custody grab for his three children, Paris, Prince and Blanket, things haven't been too easy for the Jackson clan.

Through it all, however, their common mission has been to honor Michael's life and music. Paris, for one, makes it clear that her dad is always in her thoughts.

"my new wall **took me 3 effing hours**," she tweeted with a pic of a photo wall dedicated to her father. "a whole wall of his pics is the LEAST i could do #dedication."

She later wrote, "thru my joy & my sorrow, in the promise of another 2morro, i'll never let u apart for ur always in my heart... happy birthday i love u daddy."

Paris also hinted at getting a tattoo in honor of her dad's birthday, but we'll have to wait (technically, another four years) to see about that one.

As for today, Paris, Prince and Blanket are spending the day with the Jackson family (Katherine, LaToya and TJ) in Gary, Ind.

"Find a moment today to share peace, love, and serenity with the world, the Jacksons tweeted this morning.

Here's hoping that Michael is out there moonwalking in a better place.
