Mitt Romney may be running for president, but his Republican right-hand man Paul Ryan is winning the race when it comes to good looks!

Just ask country crooner Sara Evans, who's headed to Tampa for this week's Republican National Convention.

"He's cute!" Evans told us of Ryan while promoting her Wednesday RNC performance for Got Your 6, a do-gooder org that supports veterans and military families.

Evans says Ryan's good looks may even help him in the voting booths. "I think human beings are drawn to other human beings who are beautiful or handsome," the 41-year-old singer said. "I do think that it probably helps to sway people towards liking somebody, if they're handsome or if they're fit or if they dress good. It probably shouldn't be that way but it's almost like human nature."

She added, "But I definitely don't think anybody should be voting for someone just because they're cute."

Evans says she's still getting educated when it comes to the election. "My tendency has always been to lean more conservative, for sure," she admitted. "I don't know that I can say I have [decided] for sure, but I'm leaning towards Romney."

Another hot topic on Evans' mind right now besides the election? Fifty Shades of Grey, of course!

"I haven't read it," she said. "I bought it. I took it on a plane and my girlfriend was with me. I decided to take a little nap but I had the book on my lap. She stole it and started reading it and she wouldn't give it back to me because it was so good. And then she loaned it to another girlfriend of ours.

"I guess I'm going to have to buy another copy because I can't wait to read it. I've heard it's great."
