Next time you call in sick for a little tickle in your throat, remember this: Mayim Bialik is already back to work on the set of The Big Bang Theory, one day after suffering severe lacerations to her hand and thumb in a scary car accident.
"Stopped by the stage this morning," Big Bang executive producer Bill Prady tweeted this afternoon. "@missmayim hard at work and all is well." He added: "Fine. All ten digits."
CBS has no comment and Bialik's rep has not yet replied to request for comment.
Bialik, 36, was alone in her white Volvo when a car with three people inside attempted a left turn in front of her, resulting in a near head-on collision, according to LAPD media relations spokesman Richard French.
Though early reports suggested Bialik might lose her thumb, the mother of two tweeted yesterday with a little help from her husband.
"(husband typing) In pain but will keep all my fingers," she told her fans. "If you wanna See pre-accident me, watch The Soup tonight lol."
Bialik scored an Emmy nomination this year for her work as Sheldon's (Jim Parsons) lady love Amy Farrah Fowler. Here's hoping for a full and speedy recovery!
