Bradley Cooper may be shaving his entire bod and heading for Broadway.

No, the Hangover hottie isn't going to be starring in the Magic Mike musical.

The extreme manscapping would be for a revival of The Elephant Man, the stage adaptation of the film about the real-life 19th-century story of a severely deformed man who was saved from the streets by a London surgeon.

Cooper shaved down earlier this summer to play Merrick at the Williamstown Theater Festival in Massachusetts.

"We're going to try to do it on Broadway next fall," he told me at last night's premiere of his new movie, Hit & Run (in theaters Aug. 22). "We're going to try to nail it down and do a limited run."

As for the smooth bod, Cooper said, "We wanted to make it like a blank slate. I didn't wax it. I just shaved it."

Meanwhile, he cracked of being directed by Parenthood star Dax Shepard in Hit & Run, "It's like really horrible surgery on your teeth."

Not only did Shepard codirect the very funny—and smart!—action comedy, but he also wrote and stars in it alongside fiancé Kristen Bell. They rounded up a bunch of their friends to be in the $1.3 million flick, including Joy Bryant, Sean Hayes, Jason Bateman, Kristin Chenoweth, Tom Arnold and more.

"It was exactly how I expected it to be," Bell said. "Dax has a very consistent personality so I didn't expect to meet a different human being on the set every day. He's a very good communicator. He's very self aware and that's the kind of director he was."
