Not that we're complaining. We like those little shelves we see sticking out from dresses and skirts all over fashion-dom.
They have no real purpose, other than to amuse us with possible secondary uses. Like blinders in case we don't want to see our own shoes, or sun shades for our legs. But whatever the reason for her peplum, Jordin Sparks couldn't look peppier in her Alice + Olivia Tracey dress!
The occasion? The N.Y.C. premiere of her movie, of course. Sparkle, costarring her and the late, great Whitney Houston, debuts this weekend and it's time that this former American Idol contender gets noticed. Nothing does that better than this top-to-toe red look, which also includes a pair of Giuseppe Zanotti pumps with a steel heel.
