Late night talk show host pops the question while couple vacations in South Africa

Jimmy Kimmel now has an exciting new topic to raise on his late night show.

The 44-year-old funnyman is engaged to his 34-year-old girlfriend Molly McNearney, E! News confirms.

The proposal, first reported by People, took place as the two vacationed at Kruger National Forest in South Africa.

The Jimmy Kimmel Live! host began dating McNearney, one of the show's head writers, in 2009.

The eventual nuptials will mark Kimmel's second trip down the aisle.
