Let's be honest, America's Got Talent's first episode back from their Olympic hiatus was, well, underwhelming.
The reality show featured multiple YouTube acts tonight who were given a chance to enter the competition, but between the struggling singers, magicians and comedian, the return of AGT was becoming a snoozefest.
That is, until Academy of Villains came on.
Devoted viewers who stuck it out until the end were rewarded with the most exciting and entertaining act of the night.
The theater-based hip-hop group based from San Francisco, which incorporates the art of telling a story through props, acting and best of all—dance. Academy of Villains, a group of 28 members who opened their performance to Queen's "Bohemian Rhapsody" tonight, received a standing ovation from the judges!
Howard Stern called their act "very inventive," while Sharon Osbourne said, "I tell ya, it's been a tough one tonight, but it was worth it to get you." Even Howie Mandel praised their talent, and added, "We saved the best for last. You are the best thing from tonight's show."
