If anyone can make a Nintendo DS3 look like a must-have accessory, it's Penélope Cruz, right?
The stunning Oscar winner and her equally stunning sister, Mónica, star in a new commercial for New Super Mario Bros. 2, the latest addition to the handheld system's library of games, due out Aug. 17.
And it turns out Cruz isn't just convincing when Woody Allen and Pedro Almodóvar are calling the shots.
"Come on, Mario, let's go—good boy!" she says to herself, tapping away at a red DS3 as the mustachioed Italian plumber collects the coins in his path.
Realizing that her big sis needs some help, Mónica offers up the level-conquering services of Luigi, courtesy of her own blue DS3.
"Who's the champion now?" Mónica exclaims, blowing a kiss at Mario's brother as he grabs the goal post first.
Having lost their friendly sisterly bet, that's Penélope you see dressed as Mario, complete with mustache, ordering a mushroom from an understandably perplexed waiter.
