Werewolves and Kanimas and gay bars, oh my!

Yep, that's season two of MTV's Teen Wolf in a nutshell. One mind-blowingly awesome nutshell.

The heir to Buffy the Vampire Slayer's cult teen drama throne's (oh yes, we went there!) sophomore season comes to a close tonight (quick, somebody hold us!) and we're looking back at the show's most OMG-worthy moments (there were a lot of 'em)...

Teen Wolf has become MTV's version of the CW's Vampire Diaries, where every episode is a game-changer. But we'd argue that Teen Wolf became top banana in the shock department when it was revealed that Jackson (Colton Haynes), your seemingly average high school jock/jerk, was this the Kanima, this season's big bad killing machine. Well played, Jeff Davis (the show's creator). Well played!

On top of that, one of the show's two female leads went certifiably crazy: Lydia (Holland Roden) ended up making out with a hallucination and bringing Peter Hale, last season's big bad, back from the dead. As for Teen Wolf's other female lead, Allison (Crystal Reed), she's gone from girlfriend to off-the-deep-end in two episodes, thanks to the shocking death of her mother.

Our big questions going into tonight's finale? Will Scott (Tyler Posey) and Derek (Tyler Hoechlin) be able to stop Gerard (Michael Hogan), Jackson's new master? Is Jackson going to make it out of the season alive? Has Allison gone fully over to the dark side? Will Stiles (Dylan O'Brien) ever stop being so awesome? (We already know the answer to that last one: No, no he will not.)

Teen Wolf's finale airs tonight at 10 p.m. on MTV.
