John Legend could use a lift healthwise.

On his way back over the weekend to New York City after a trip to South Africa, the R&B songster apparently picked up a bug and felt ill enough that he paid a visit to his local emergency room.

The good news is he's going to be OK.

A rep for the 33-year-old Legend tells E! News he was treated in the ER Saturday morning for the flu but he is now resting at home and doing "fine."

The "So High" singer subsequently posted an update for his fans to that effect on Twitter.

"Just got back to the U.S. Thanks to all my South African fans! I was a bit under the weather this weekend but you helped me through it," the Duets star tweeted.

Glad to hear he's on the rebound.

Once he recuperates, Legend is due to head back out on the road this fall on a tour that kicks off in Clearwater, Fla., on Oct. 16.
