Mexico Soccer Team, 2012 Summer Olympics

The London 2012 Olympics have yet to disappoint.
From being fascinated with our new favorite sport, rhythmic gymnastics, to the U.S. women's basketball team continuing their golden legacy, and of course, Usain Bolt bolting yet again to the finish, Saturday was jam-packed with Olympic fulfillment, broken records and gold medals.
Speaking of ballers, the USA women's basketball team secured America's appreciation by winning their fifth straight gold medal, beating France 86-50 and continuing an Olympic victory spree that started in 1992.
Candace Parker scored 21 points, including eight straight points at a crucial turning point in the second quarter. Kudos!
And, whether it's all that crazy flexibility or those shiny little balls, rhythmic gymnastics seems to have caught everyone's eye.

Evgeniya Kanaeva wowed Saturday, taking to the podium to collect her second gold medal—and an Olympic record. After ruling in Beijing and now London, the Russian is the only athlete to win the all-around title in rhythmic gymnastics twice.
Another record breaker, Usain Bolt, stole the spotlight once again during the final session of track.
The speedster finished his leg of the 4x100 meter relay for the Jamaican team with a world-record performance, finishing up his second Olympics by winning his sixth gold medal.
Also celebrating a gold—and it's their first ever—is Mexico. The nation's men's soccer team secured its first Olympic gold against highly favored Brazil. Mexico's Oribe Peralta scored the first goal for the team a mere 29 seconds into the contest at legendary Wembley Stadium and added another in the second half to lead Mexico to the 2-1 victory.
Meanwhile, America's David Boudia became the first yank to win a 10 meter platform diving gold medal since Greg Louganis scored the gold back in 1988 at the Seoul games.
Tomorrow marks the final day of the Olympics and we can't wait to see what the Closing Ceremony has in store.
Spice Girls anyone?!
