With all of the amazing events that have been going on it is easy to overlook the work that has gone into making London a safe and successful host city of the Olympic Games. One person who does not take any of the efforts for granted is Olympics ambassador David Beckham.

The soccer star made a stop by the vehicle search area on the edge of Olympic Park to chat with, and no doubt, show his gratitude to servicemen whose job it has been to protect athletes and spectators during the excitement of the past few weeks.

When interviewed, Beckham said of the soldiers: "They're doing an incredible job. What they've done so far. They're keeping everyone calm and letting people enjoy the games."

Taking his sons Cruz, Romeo and Brooklyn with him on his visit, Beckham dodged questions about the rumored Spice Girls performance during the closing ceremony saying, "I've heard that rumour. I saw some of the rehearsal for the closing ceremony yesterday, it's going to be an amazing occasion."
