Robert Pattinson, Wedding Guest? Why Was Scorned Star Really in Ojai?

Did Robert Pattinson attend a wedding over the weekend?

As we previously reported, the cheated-on Twilight Saga star was out with pals Saturday night at Deer Lodge in Ojai, Calif. An eyewitness now exclusively tells E! News that Pattinson appeared to be a member of the wedding party that was being held at the restaurant that night.

While details on who the happy couple is were kept private, the bride was English and the groom Irish, the source says.

Pattinson, who also reportedly hung out at Deer Lodge with a smaller group on Friday, as well, stayed mainly in the restaurant's bar area during the party and seemed to be in good spirits, our source said.

"His friends surrounded him and kept him protected from prying eyes," the witness added.

In the meantime, here's hoping he got the rest he needed lying low, partly at pal Reese Witherspoon's Ojai ranch—it seemed like a random town to escape to, but maybe the man just had a wedding to go to—because he's off to New York next week to do press for Cosmopolis.
