Cuba Gooding Jr. Update: Bartender Drops Charges Against Oscar Winner

New Orleans police had previously rescinded warrant for the actor's arrest, a day after he allegedly shoved a female employee at the Old Absinthe House

Cuba Gooding Jr. owes someone a huge tip.

Hours after New Orleans police rescinded a warrant for his arrest, the female bartender whom Gooding allegedly shoved Tuesday morning is apparently not planning to press charges against the actor.

A rep for the Old Absinthe House told reporters that it was their understanding that the employee "has chosen to drop all charges" —but they still plan to investigate what happened "internally."

Whether that means the unidentified woman is going to try to get Gooding to show her the money in civil court remains to be seen.

The Jerry Maguire star voluntarily met with police this morning and authorities quashed an arrest warrant that had been issued yesterday following the alleged episode in the bar. Gooding's rep said that the actor and police were "moving swiftly to resolve this misunderstanding."

A hearing was scheduled for Friday, but it's unlikely that Gooding will have to appear once the charges are formally dropped, which they can be once New Orleans Municipal Court has received a copy of the summons.

UPDATE Aug. 3, 2012: The New Orleans City Attorney's Office confirms to E! News that it has dropped its case against Gooding and no charges will be filed against him due to "lack of complaining witnesses."
