CampariThe theme may be a secret, but the star of Campari's new calendar has been revealed and it's someone as sexy as the drink is bitter: Penélope Cruz!
Much like the iconic Pirelli calendar, the yearly project from the aperitif maker will be a hard-to-get item, but at least we got a free sneak peak.
We're talking big ball gowns, dramatic feathers, sexy lace cocktail frocks—and all in the same jewel-toned red that Campari calls its own.
(Fun fact: Campari bitters was originally colored with with carmine dye, which is derived from crushed cochineal insects. You know, cochineal insects? Bugs? That live in cacti? You're welcome.)
Past Campari calendar stars include Salma Hayek, Eva Mendes and Jessica Alba. If you're connected enough to nab one of the 9,999 copies that will be printed for 2013, you can expect to pick it up this fall.
