Every rose has its…ah shucks, you know the rest.

Poison frontman Bret Michaels and his fiancée and mother of his two girls, Kristi Gibson, have decided to call off their engagement, E! News can confirm.

Rock of Love apparently it wasn't.

"Although the couple have separated they remain great friends and are committed to jointly raising their two daughters Raine Elizabeth and Jorja Bleu," Michaels' rep said in a statement.

No reason was given for the split.

What caused Bret Michaels' brain hemorrhage

The 49-year-old musician-turned-reality star first hooked up with the 41-year-old Gibson back in the mid-'90s. And after 17-plus years in which they were mostly on, save a brief fling Michaels had with Pamela Anderson, the "Nothin' but a Good Time" singer got down on bended knee and proposed to his longtime gal-pal during the finale of his VH1 reality series, Bret Michaels: Life As I Know It, in December 2010.

That same year, Gibson was also by Michaels' side during his recovery from a brain hemorrhage and an operation to close a hole in his heart.
