But then again, how often is Angelina Jolie's other half really playing the goody two-shoed romantic interest? Certainly not in Inglorious Basterds or Fight Club—Happy Feet Two is a different story. But it seems like Brad is back to the gritty side of film with his latest role.
In Killing Them Softy, Brad plays Jackie Cogan, a point person who works for a hitman and is tasked to investigate a heist that occurred during a mobster-run game of poker. Suffice it to say, we think this one isn't going to be for the kiddies.
In new pictures released from the film, Brad is as stern faced as they come, with his slicked back hair, leather on leather outfits and, oh yeah, giant gun. And does that goatee read sinister to anyone else?! Plus, no bad guy is complete without a pinky ring.
That's standard in this town, ya know?!
The movie—which also stars big and small screen mob alumni like Ray Liotta and James Gandolfini (or, should we say, Tony Soprano) as well as Richard Jenkins—debuted at Cannes this year and will hit theaters Oct. 19.
