It was the kiss heard (seen, ranted about, analyzed and cried over) around the world: Kristen Stewart cheating on boyfriend Robert Pattinson with Snow White and the Huntsman director Rupert Sanders.

But, according to Snow White and the Huntsman director Rupert Sanders' father, it isn't a big deal.

"From what I gather nothing really happened and it is all a lot of fuss about nothing," Michael Sanders told People. "I should imagine it was something very brief. She is a very pretty girl and when you work that closely with someone for so long, sometimes things happen."

So it seems, as K.Stew is just the latest to join the ranks of actresses who fell for their directors.

"He is very honorable, hardworking and [a] dedicated father and filmmaker," Michael continued defending his son, who is married to actress Liberty Ross, with whom he has a 5-year-old and a 7-year-old. Rupert himself has since said he is "utterly distraught" about hurting his "beautiful wife and heavenly children."

And amid reports that R.Pattz has moved out of the home he shared with Kristen, the elder Sanders says claims that Rupert and Liberty (who, pre-fling, claimed to have endured "really hard times" during her 10-year marriage) will be able to overcome this scandal.

"Of course their relationship will survive this," he states. "This is nothing—they will definitely survive all of this. It is all a lot of fuss about nothing."
