Kate Middleton Goes Glamping: The Photo the Palace Does Want You to See

Something fishy this way comes for the Duchess of Cambridge, as she makes a return engagement out into the British countryside as patron of the Scout Association

All hail the princess of...scales?

While the international tabloids are proving themselves to be a royal pain in the palace's bum with their publication of some surreptitiously snapped honeymoon shots of Prince William and Kate Middleton, the duchess paid them no mind and classily got back this week to doing what she does best: wearing awesome clothes making everyone jealous of her blowout volunteering with kids.

As part of her charity work as the patroness (and onetime covergirl!) of the U.K.'s Scouts Association, Kate headed back out into the British countryside and got down to the business of...gutting fish?

Well, guess royal life can't be glamorous 24-7, after all.

In any case, while Kate made her much-photographed inaugural outing with campers as part of an inner-city youth trip last month (sadly, shots of her more recent outing have yet to surface, but then again, do we really want to see the people's duchess gutting fish? Wait, stupid question...), the 30-year-old stepped back into her Wellies this week and hosted a day of activities for a group of school children near the Anglesey, Wales home she shares with Wills.

It was a veritable life aquatic adventure for the kids, as among the activities that kept the youngsters busy throughout the day were crabbing, fishing and, most importantly, gutting said fish, all of which were overseen by Kate and the rest of the volunteers.

The day was capped off with a barbecue, at which the duchess helped serve sausages (or should that be bangers?) and burgers.

Color us royally jealous. Scout's honor.
