We all know the old saying: When one vampire hunter exits, another pops up in his place.

Well, we think that's an old saying in Mystic Falls because The Vampire Diaries is introducing a new vampire hunter in season four. How easily Alaric (Matt Davis) is replaced! (We jest, we jest. RIP, boo!)

So who's been cast as the new Alaric? Find out...

The Chicago Code star Todd Williams will take on the role of Connor, the mysterious and powerful new vampire hunter, when the CW hit returns in October.

Fans will first meet Connor in episode two and can expect to see him stick around town for a bit. Hmmm...should the Salvatores brothers be worried or will they be buying BFF necklaces to share with another vampire hunter?

In addition to the short-lived Chicago Code, Williams also appeared on In Plain Sight.

The Vampire Diaries' fourth season premieres Thursday, Oct. 11 at 8 p.m. on the CW.

What do you make of this TVD addition? Think he'll buddy up with Stefan and Damon...or hunt them down?
