Having seen so many recent shots of Mark Wahlberg shirtless while filming Pain and Gain, it got us thinking: How the heck did he get so big?

Sure, the actor formerly known as Marky Mark has always had a hot body, but he packed on some seriously massive muscles for the Michael Bay flick.

We talked to Wahlberg, 41, last night to find out what he did to get so pumped up...

"I was eating 10 meals a day and drinking mass gainers," he said at the Hollywood premiere of Ted, his new comedy from Family Guy creator (and first-time director) Seth MacFarlane. "I was drinking my own. I created this line of supplements with GNC."

Really, 10 meals a day?!

"It was a lot of work," Wahlberg said. "A lot of getting up at 2 in the morning to eat another meal and I was still full from the meal at 10 o'clock."

Asked if he prefers being so big, he said, "You know, I like being able to change for parts, both physically and preparing mentally. It was a good time."

That goes for us, too—seeing Wahlberg shirtless is always a good time.
