Sharon Osbourne is trying to stay strong for her son—but you can only be so strong sometimes.

The day- and prime-time TV personality openly wept on The Talk this morning when asked about son Jack Osbourne's multiple sclerosis diagnosis, scary news that Jack first spoke out about yesterday.

"Sharon, you have always been an open book with your life, with your family's life, and right now there's something going on with Jack," Julie Chen began.

"Yeah," was all Osbourne could say at first, wiping away tears.

"Jack will be here on Wednesday to talk about his diagnosis, but he's great," she said. "He's doing really, really good, and I want to thank everyone for all their texts and goodwill and love they've sent to us."

Asked if she wanted to say anything else, Osbourne tried to pump herself up for the rest of the show.

"Thank you to everyone for all their good wishes, it's been amazing for Jack," she continued. "I really believe that vibes and prayer help, good energy...What I'm doing right now is not helping because I'm just feeling sorry for myself, and that is no good. So we have to think positively and get on with this show that we love!"

Jack also wanted to let fans know how much he appreciates their support, tweeting today, "Thank you all so much for the kind and inspirational words. It means a lot. #adaptandovercome."

"Proud of you, baby!" his fiancée, Lisa Stelly, tweeted back. She and Jack welcomed daughter Pearl Clementine in April.
