Kanye West should have left all of the lights on.

Just as his camp was compelled to deal with a mix-up over a naked photo that kinda looked like Kim Kardashian, the rapper's Los Angeles home was being burgled.

Maybe they thought that "for sale" meant "open house"...

Police have confirmed to E! News that officers responded today to an early-morning call about a burglary on West's block.

The resident was not home at the time of the break-in; LAPD were not able to confirm whether any property was taken, and it's an ongoing investigation. There is no suspect information at this time.

West's rep has not yet responded to a request for comment. Then again, he's been busy.

But it's not as if West is now living at the corner of 808s & Heartbreak. He unsuccessfully tried to sell the three-bedroom abode in 2010 for almost $4 million, and he recently took quiet steps to unload it yet again—coincidentally, just as Kardashian pocket-listed her own home in Beverly Hills.
