Diff'rent Strokes Star Todd Bridges Divorcing Wife of 14 Years

Different strokes for different folks; former child star decides to end his 14-year union

Todd Bridges and his wife, Dori, are calling it quits after 14 years of marriage, the Diff'rent Strokes actor announced. 

"It is confirmed that after 14 years of marriage, the Bridges have decided that disunion is in the best interest of their collective futures," a rep for the actor told E! News. "Although Todd and Dori are going their separate ways, they are mutually committed to the well-being of their son."

The couple has a 13-year-old son, Spencir, incidentally also a child actor, having appeared in the film Daddy Day Camp and an episode of iCarly.

As for the split, the 47-year-old thesp also broke the news of the apparently amicable split on Twitter over the weekend, writing, "Life is full of changes."

"She's a great mother…Im glad to have had the years to know her and have a great kid with her as we know, people grow apart and we did," Bridges tweeted.

Bridges is best known for playing Willis Jackson opposite Gary Coleman and Dana Plato in the hit '80s sitcom Diff'rent Strokes, but in later years he battled drug addiction before making a comeback starring on the Fox reality series Skating With Celebrities and in Tyler Perry's House of Payne. He next appears on the big screen in the upcoming Adam Sandler comedy That's My Boy.
