As Chrissy Teigen said herself, Team Breezy's got some issues.

A legion of Chris Brown fans went to violent town on John Legend's model fiancée via Twitter after she took a jab at Brown before his performance Sunday on the Billboard Music Awards.

"Team Breezy! Lets stop sending death threats!" Brown tweeted today. "I know y'all bout that life but it's the wrong message! Ur turning haters into victims!"

Considering the fallout, what Teigen actually wrote on Sunday doesn't seem like much...

"So excited to see Chris Brown! I love loud and surprising background fits of rage I can hear from the audience!" the Sports Illustrated swimsuit model wrote, obviously not knowing what was to come.

"I'm 'insane' for talking about it for hours. No mention of how insane you have to be to create 10+ accounts to write me 100s of times," Teigen ultimately tweeted yesterday in reference to the number of messages she received, many of them belonging to people whose accounts have since been deleted.

"Boy you are an angry girl," she replied to one choice post. "Are you getting paid to act this stupid and ignorant? You are doing it like it's your f--king job."

"I said things about EVERYONE who performed. negative and positive. interesting that only one 'team' is rabid," Teigen responded to @BigBadWolf, who wrote to her, "Sorry Boo, but you had to know what was going to happen, you've expressed on more than one occasion about your dislike of Chris Brown, after a while it seems like hate and his true fans have always stuck up for him and always will."

"@robevans656 noticed you deleted it. not a good look, eh?" Teigen tweeted to another guy who had previously written," I don't beat women, but you are one bitch I will make an exception for."

In response to fans who came to her defense and asked why people were deleting their comments after the fact, Teigen explained: "accounts deleted due to ohhhhh, i dunno. telling me i'm getting a bullet to my brain, asking for me to be raped and murdered...normal stuff. But oh, I have some screen caps. And I will do everything I can to make sure people know, internet or not, you CAN'T say this s--t."

Ultimately, Teigen wrote, "This is less about chris and more about the insanity that spews out of the rabid mouthes of team breezy. done. there will be no more said."

The relentless Brown defenders started in on Legend, too, because the Duets star tweeted today, "Personally, I don't think @chrissyteigen's existence is pointless. Nor anyone else who dares criticize a performance."

"Every artist has to be ok with the fact that some people won't like their work. All critics aren't 'haters,'" he continued, aiming that last bit at Brown. "And don't ever tell me to put my 'bitch on a leash'. She's a grown woman with her own mind and her own opinions and this is not 1950."

To put it mildly.
