So True So False, STSF

Is Bobby Brown expressing his emotional turmoil surrounding Whitney Houston's death through song?

While appearing on The Tonight Show With Jay Leno last night, Brown took the stage and debuted a new single off his upcoming album The Masterpiece (set to release June 5) entitled "Don't Let Me Die."

Dressed in all black, he sang, "I didn't realize that every breath I took was from you/ You were my air."

"I guess I [messed] up pretty bad/ I didn't know who you were/ I didn't know what we had/ Now I'm stuck living in the past/ Trying to get the pieces back/ But I guess now you're gone."

Safe to say this is a tribute song to the late singin' diva, right?

Hold on to your prerogatives, kids, because this rumor is...

So false!

Brown's rep confirms to E! News that the song is not about Houston.

The song was written a while back and its music video—which was previewed on Ellen this week—was shot six months ago and features his fiancée, Alicia Etheridge.
