George Clooney had some very special guests for dinner Thursday night: The 51-year-old actor hosted a fundraiser at his L.A. home for President Barack Obama's reelection campaign.

Of course, Clooney's girlfriend, Stacy Keibler, was in attendance, as were Jack Black, Robert Downey Jr., Salma Hayek, Barbra Streisand and Billy Crystal. Tables at the fête sold for a whopping $40,000 a piece. According to a Today Show report, the fundraiser raked in $15 million for Obama.

The president's public endorsement of gay marriage on Wednesday elicited major applause from the audience.

"Obviously yesterday we made some news," Obama, 50, said. "But the trust is it was a logical extension of what America is supposed to be. It drew directly out of this difference in visions. Are we a country that includes everybody and gives everybody a shot and treats everybody fairly and is that going to make us stronger?"

"Are we welcoming to people who aren't like us?" he continued. "Does that make us stronger? I believe it does. So that's what's at stake."
