Did Carmen Electra make the choice to be a single lady again?

The same day the 40-year-old Disaster Movie star was supposed to appear on the new Fox reality dating show, The Choice, speculation ran rampant that Electra had kissed her fiancé goodbye.

But did Electra really end her four-year engagement with musician Rob Patterson, as Life and Style reported?

Hold on to your engagement bling, lovers, 'cause this rumor is...

So false!

"Totally untrue," a source close to the couple told us regarding the mag's report, saying they are still engaged.

"It's flattering when someone writes about you, even when it's untrue," Patterson himself tweeted later in the day. "If all that energy was used for positive, earth would be a better place!"

So, for now, it looks like Electra and her Filter guitar beau are still on track to walk down the aisle…whenever they choose to do so.

But don't look for the former MTV host to rush to tie the knot anytime soon.

Shortly after they got engaged on Electra's 36th birthday in 2008, the actress told E! News, "I feel like being engaged feels nice, because it's a commitment but there's no paperwork," Electra said. "And, um, I dunno. I feel like we're happy, so why—I dunno, there's no reason to push it to the next level when we're content and we're happy the way we are."

Whenever the duo does walk down the aisle though, it will be Electra's third marriage.
