Why just hug your friends when you can kiss 'em?

Law & Order: SVU star Mariska Hargitay and author and comedienne Ali Wentworth were so excited to see each other Wednesday night at the Joyful Revolution Gala in NYC that they locked lips on the red carpet!

But don't bother stirring up any romance rumors: Both ladies are happily married—Hargitay to Peter Hermann and Wentworth to George Stephanopolous—and this girl-on-girl smooch was strictly platonic.

Hargitay, 48, founded Joyful Heart in 2004 with the intention of helping survivors of abuse heal and reclaim their lives. Since its inception, more than 2000 survivors have participated in Joyful Heart's pioneering retreat and wellness program. 

Other stars who came out to support the the foundation's work included Hilary Swank, Debra Messing and Glenn Close.
