Boom.

That was the sound of our head exploding from so much awesomeness. Because Florence + the Machine has released "Breath of Life," the first track off the upcoming Snow White and the Huntsman soundtrack and it is abso-friggin'-lutely gorgeous.

But was it Kristen Stewart or Charlize Theron who inspired the flawless tune?

If you peeped the single cover above you probably had a pretty solid hint: It's evil Queen Ravenna, played (of course) by Queen Charlize.

Makes sense the song is so epic, huh?

"The Queen is just this incredible character; so hungry for life but so dead inside," Florence Welch told MTV. "She's sort of eternal, but inside there's nothing. She's kind of like charcoal or something. She has this thirst for youth and for life, but for what kind of life? This darkness, but she's so beautiful, so it's this kind of juxtaposition between beauty and, ultimately, death."

Well, the song is certainly haunting enough—what with those ominous drums beating at the beginning—and we cannot imagine a more perfect match than Flo's grandiose voice and the gritty fairy-tale film.

Florence continued, "I love choirs and I love choral music, and there was a 60-piece choir singing the vocal parts that I had written. When the baritones came in, I nearly wept, it was so emotional."

We haven't been brought to tears just yet, but we do have the song on repeat.

The soundtrack is set to be released on May 29 (a week before the movie hits theaters) and, while the track listing has yet to be released, if the other tunes are anything like Flo's, it's going to put the Twilight soundtracks to shame.

Here's hoping another song is inspired by K.Stew though—we can't wait to hear what the sounds like.
