Beyoncé Joins Twitter, Shows Off Adorable Personal Photos With Jay-Z on Tumblr

Music superstar makes her first official foray into the online world, amassing more than 3.5 million followers in less than three hours

That's one small tweet for Beyoncé, one giant step for Twitterkind.

If anyone had any question as to the pulling power of Jay-Z's missus, B put that to rest this morning when, with just one inaugural 140-character welcome, Beyoncé upset the balance of the Twitterverse and amassed an astounding 3.5 (and growing) million followers.

So what did Blue Ivy's mama say to ingratiate herself to social media?

"Hey World, It's B!" she wrote. "I'm so excited to invite you to my new beyonce.com—we've been working hard, and it's finally ready for you XO."

Self-promoting already? Yeah, she's gonna be just fine at this whole tweeting thing.

Meanwhile, the previously privacy-protecting Beyoncé completed her one-two online punch this morning, when she both relaunched her official site and launched a new Tumblr page, which is currently awash with personal, never-before-seen photos of herself, Jay-Z, her sister Solange and more, and is a must-see for a B fan.

"It's been a long time coming—but I finally have my own place on the web," she wrote on her site.

'Bout time, B! Welcome. And we'll be watching.
