Night has fallen on Jennie Garth and Peter Facinelli's marriage.

Barely two weeks after revealing that they had split up, Facinelli filed for divorce from his wife of almost 11 years, citing their date of separation as Jan. 1 and checking off "irreconcilable differences" as the reason.

As for the kids...

Facinelli is asking for joint physical and legal custody of daughters Luca Bella, 14; Lola Ray, 9; and Fiona Eve, 5.

Garth conveniently requested the same custody arrangement in her simultaneously filed response, which also noted that she would like to legally change her name back to Jennifer Garth from Jennifer Facinelli. She and her soon-to-be ex are also willing to split their legal fees.

The actors revealed earlier this month that they had broken up, with Garth saying in her new reality show, Little Bit Country, that working away from each other for long periods of time put a lot of stress on their marriage.

"He would do everything he could to fly back every weekend," said the former Beverly Hills, 90210 star, but, "it took a real toll." Garth also said that Facinelli first brought up the idea of divorce last fall, and she was "very resistant."

"I didn't want it to happen," she said. "It took me some time to come to peace with it."

She and Facinelli jointly denied that a "third party" came between them.
