Pregnant Jessica Simpson and Sister Ashlee Serve as Bridesmaids at Weekend Wedding

Soon-to-be mom happily fulfills her duties, despite being with child

Jessica Simpson didn't let a little thing like pregnancy get in the way of her bridesmaid commitments over the weekend.

Despite the fact that she's very close to giving birth to her first child, the soon-to-be mom remained part of the wedding party on Sunday when her friend, Lauren Zelman, tied the knot to actor Bret Harrison.

And for Jess, the event, which took place at the Parker Palm Springs, was a bit of a family affair as well. Not only did her sister, Ashlee, also serve as a bridesmaid, but nephew Bronx was the ringbearer.

Meanwhile, fiancé Eric Johnson was on hand to assist his ladylove, who reportedly remained seated during the ceremony. (The pair did get moving later in the weekend to avoid the rain!)

Of course, who can blame her?

"I feel like I have a bowling ball sitting on my hoo-ha!" Simpson told Jimmy Kimmel during an appearance on his show last week.
