E! News has confirmed that Danny Veltri, who won the fifth season of Hell's Kitchen back in 2009, was arrested for DUI in Florida on Sunday.

According to police, the 27-year-old was busted shortly after 4 a.m. Sunday after cops were called to a gas station and found the reality star asleep and intoxicated behind the wheel of his red Dodge Neon.

A witness states that Veltri stopped by the gas station and appeared heavily intoxicated as he attempted to purchase alcohol. Because Florida state law prevents the sale of alcohol after hours, Veltri left with a pack of cigarettes.

The witness later alerted police after finding Veltri asleep in his car with the engine running. When cops asked the reality star if he had been drinking, he reportedly replied that he was "overworked and tired," per police.

In his car, cops found a full can of beer, as well as a six-pack. Veltri's blood-alcohol level was reportedly 0.17 percent on a first test and 0.12 percent on a second one, well above the legal limit of 0.08 percent. He was eventually released on a $500 bail.

After winning the Gordon Ramsay–hosted cooking show, Veltri had a stint cooking at the Borgata Hotel in Atlantic City before returning home to New Smyrna Beach in Florida, where he's now the general manager at Gnarly Surf Bar Grill.
