Colin Firth was not flying the friendly skies.

A London-bound flight carrying the Oscar winner encountered some serious turbulence yesterday when two passengers got into a violent brawl midair and forced the airline to rally armed police upon touchdown, The Sun reports.

The actor was on his way back home from the Oscars, where he presented the Best Actress award to Meryl Streep.

Did he get caught up in the imbroglio?

Thankfully, our dashing British thesp is doing just fine.

The 51-year-old actor was reportedly traveling aboard a British Airways flight with his wife, Livia, 42, and two sons, Luca, 10, and Matteo, 8, when two passengers started attacking each other over an alleged stolen item.

The fisticuffs reportedly raged out of control despite the crew's attempts to contain it, and they were forced to radio ahead to ground authorities at Heathrow Airport for backup.

According to the paper, the actor stayed calm throughout the unnerving incident and made sure his family was all right.

"Colin Firth showed his usual cool and was more concerned at the well-being of his wife and kids," The Sun quotes a source. "It was far more dramatic than anything at the Oscars."

We bet. This is more than enough to leave The King's Speech star speechless.
