Lane Garrison isn't looking for trouble these days, but trouble seems to follow him.

E! News has learned that authorities responded on Monday night to a report of domestic violence at a Beverly Hills apartment the former Prison Break actor shares with his Playboy Playmate girlfriend Ashley Mattingly.

So what does this mean for Garrison?

Lucky for him, not much.

Lt. Mark Rosen, spokesman for the Beverly Hills Police Department, tells E! that officers on the scene talked to Garrision, 31, and his gal-pal, 25, and wrote an incident report. But since there was no indication the two got into a physical confrontation, neither was arrested.

Instead, Rosen confirmed that Garrison was taken to the hospital for an unrelated medical matter.

According to TMZ , the thesp suffered a panic attack and was treated at a nearby emergency room and released. Sources told the website that Lane had been working hard to stay clean since getting out of prison a few years ago following an 18-month stint for manslaughter and he freaked out when cops turned up.

In 2007, Garrison was high on cocaine when he got into an accident that killed a 17-year-old high school student who was a passenger in his SUV.
