Funnyman brings his rapier wit to the social-networking service and racks up 106,000 followers within his first day

Crazy? Nah. Stupid? Nope. Love? Definitely!

Funnyman Steve Carell has finally joined Twitter. To which we must reply: "@SteveCarell What took you so long, Steve-O?!"

So what was the hilariously caustic actor's first tweet?

Nice and simple.

And with that: ka-boom! The Crazy, Stupid, Love actor immediately gained 106,000 followers...and counting.

So who is he following?

Well, there are only a dozen so far, but it's already starting to look like an exclusive comedy confab. There's Steve Martin and Judd Apatow, but he's also keeping it tight with his fellow Office alums B.J. Novak, Mindy Kaling, Ed Helms and Rainn Wilson.
