That's what we get for thinking ahead.

Just weeks after hearing that Taylor Swift got offered the role of Eponine in the upcoming movie adaptation of the hit Broadway musical Les Misérables, the singer has bid au revoir to the project.

So who got the part, instead?

Sorry, Lea Michele, Scarlett Johansson and Evan Rachel Wood are still out, but stage actress Samantha Barks is in.

Universal Studios confirms Barks will reclaim the the role of Eponine that she performed at the 25th anniversary concert for the film.

Producer Cameron Mackintosh announced the news live on stage at the Manchester Palace at the end of tonight's performance of Oliver!, in which Barks is currently playing Nancy, according to BroadwayWorld.com.

Barks tweeted afterward, "Most incredible moment of my life!!!! X"
