Fanboys and girls, prepare to drool.

The new Super Bowl spot for The Avengers has just dropped, and suffice it to say, it's a mini-cocktail of geek-a-holic goodness.

The Joss Whedon-directed superhero-crossover bonanza, which hits theaters on May 4, is one of the summer's most anticipated flicks.

We already got a glimpse of a teaser last fall, but what does the new trailer offer up?

Turns out, not much we haven't already seen.

Consider it a Mini-Me version of the first trailer that's brisk (it lasts 11 seconds), dialogue-free and appropriately operatic.

It opens with a similar cityscape shot, followed by a frenetically edited barrage of familiar images: cars blowing up, people running in fear, planes whizzing by.

Then there are the superheroes, and we get brief glimpses of Robert Downey Jr. as Iron Man, Chris Hemsworth as Thor, Scarlett Johansson as Black Widow, Chris Evans as Captain America, and—the money shot—the Hulk. (He's played by Mark Ruffalo as alter ego Bruce Banner, but the character is rendered using CGI.)

But wait! What about Jeremy Renner as Hawkeye? Sorry, looks like the dude got short shrift on this one: He's MIA.

Guess the battle cry for now should be, "Avengers, sorta assemble!"
